The practice was founded in 1987 and started with offices in Ashburton. From here, we developed our client base and reputation for first class professional services in the building surveying field. The practice soon grew and more staff were required.

The South West regional capital in Exeter was clearly an important commercial centre and much of our work was based in Exeter. In 1997, an office was opened in Southernhay West, and soon was moved to the present offices in Southernhay East to cope with our growing reputation and workload.

In 2002, the original office in Ashburton, which had become too small for us, was relocated in Totnes, the local “capital ” of the South Hams and South Devon area. The Exeter office now deals with central and eastern Devon, and the Totnes office with the South Hams, Plymouth, Dartmoor and West Devon.

Our professional base has widened. We have developed a specialism in the survey report and refurbishment of historic, listed and special buildings. In parallel with this specialisation, we have expanded our commercial surveying services in the office, shops, factory and commercial sectors, providing clients with expertise on dilapidations, schedules of condition and project management.

Our aim for the future is to continue the growth of our building surveying services to private and commercial clients, and build on our existing strength of professional, friendly and personal services.

We are fully covered by Professional Indemnity Insurance. Copies of our certificate of insurance will be provided upon request.
